Vanover Village Board

The Veterans Village is committed to providing senior veterans a dignified place to call home in a family atmosphere. Housing will be provided for single senior veterans, male and female, as an alternative to an assisted living facility at an income-based fee. Residents will receive three meals a day, and transportation will be available for appointments and recreational activities. The organization relies heavily on private and corporate donations, fundraisers, and in-kind gifting. They do not seek any government funding. The Veterans Village has a goal to be self-sustaining by raising beef and poultry as well as maintaining a community garden. Initial plans include one duplex cabin and a dining facility. Other cabins will be added as funding becomes available.

Pfc. Richard L. Vanover Veterans Village is a viable 501(c)(3) organization in compliance with IRS code and required to file a form 990 yearly. Donations may be tax deductable in compliance ith IRS Publication 526.
